Wow! What a great week! My high school coach used to call the type of improvement we experienced this week a “quantum leap”. There’s very little walking happening anymore…We look like a Cross Country Team! Check out the new video above…WE ROCK!

This week will look similar to prior weeks…The practice schedule is as follows…

Monday (Labor Day!)- 8am @ WholeFoods (Kohl’s plaza, corner of McBean and Valencia)- Distance

Wednesday- 6pm @ COC- Hills

Thursday- 6pm @ Heritage Park- Distance

Saturday- 8am @ Bridgeport Park- Distance

Fundraisers

Pi-Yo in the Park for Runners! Join personal trainer Jennifer for a one-hour pilates/yoga class designed specifically for Runners. Jennifer is AFAA Certified and has been a trainer for 15 years! She’s even run her share of marathons. This is NOT a team practice and recommended for Midgets and up only (Adults are welcome too!). Class will be on Sunday mornings at 8am in Bridgeport Park. Bring your beach towel and $8 (per class) to register. A portion of the proceeds benefits Warriors XC!

“Get Fuel” Family Night Out #2! Nick N Willy’s/Lady Di’s Cookies on Tuesday, 9/9. 25% of all purchases will be donated to Warriors XC. Stay tuned for more variety coming in future weeks!

The VYC All-Comers Meet is Saturday, 9/13 at Pierce College. Registration is $5 and benefits post-season athletes. Check the “Fundraiser” sidebar for the flyer.
